The name Ba Na comes from the French because when they arrived there, they saw many banana trees, so it was named Banane mountain, then the Vietnamese misread it as Ba Na. According to writer Nguyen Ngoc, the word Ba Na in Cowtu language means "my mountain". There is also a legend that the name of the mountain is abbreviated by the name of Thien Y A Na Thanh Mau or Ponagar.

- Historical:

Originally developed by French colonists in the early 20th century as a hill station, Ba Na Hills fell into disrepair over the years. In the 21st century, significant investments were made to restore and develop the area into a tourist destination.

This is one of the most iconic attractions in Ba Na Hills. The bridge appears to be held by two colossal stone hands emerging from the mountainside. Nested at the height of 1,414m from sea level, the Golden Bridge is no less than an iconic architectural wonder that envisages the sash-like route across the heavens. Spanning nearly 150m long in the Paradise Garden, this bridge is regarded as a special transit stop to deliver visitors from the mountain foot or the French Village to La Jardin D’Amour Gardens. The bridge measures 12.8m wide and nearly 150m long and comprises 8 arches, the longest of which is 21.2m.
