GENERAL INFORMATION:
The quickest and most convenient way to get to Sa Pa from Ha Noi is to take the tourist trains running daily at night. The trains depart Ha Noi Railway Station (Tran Quy Cap Street) every evening and arrive Lao Cai Railway Station (40 kilometers away from Sapa) early in the morning next day. And vice versa.
There are 3 evening-trains per day from Ha Noi to Lao Cai: SP1, SP3 and SP7. Meanwhile, trains from Lao Cai to Ha Noi are named as SP2, SP4 and SP8. Some popular tourist carriers recommended are Victoria Train, Fanxipan, Livitrans, King Express, Tulico, Ratraco, Friendly ...
